After reading Steve Cavanagh’s Thirteen (REVIEW HERE) a few months back, I’ve wanted to read ALL of his books. When I found out he was releasing a new novel, I had to have it. Twisted was my most anticipated read of 2019 so far, and it certainly lived up to my expectations. However, I’m going to keep this review short and sweet, because the less you know about Twisted before you start reading, the better.
“BEFORE YOU READ THIS BOOK
I WANT YOU TO KNOW THREE THINGS:
1. The police are looking to charge me with murder.
2. No one knows who I am. Or how I did it.
3. If you think you’ve found me. I’m coming for you next.
After you’ve read this book, you’ll know: the truth is far more twisted…“
From the very first chapter, I was hooked, and I struggled to put this book down. The suspense that is built up in that opening chapter sets you up perfectly for what is to come. You are about to dive into a story of lies, suspicion, deceit, and revenge, and you’re going to enjoy every single moment of it.
Once I got a little way into Twisted, I was sure I had it all worked out, but I could not have been more wrong. Every time you think you have an idea, there’s a twist that you would never see coming, and you’re straight back to where you started. Cavanagh has a great talent for building characters. In Twisted, every character has a past, or a secret, and they’re all about to come tumbling out. You’ll lose your mind trying to figure out who you can and can’t trust, but that’s all part of the fun!
There could not have been a more perfectly fitting title for Twisted, because twisted is EXACTLY what it is. It is incredibly clever, and brilliantly written. The plot is pure genius, and is executed to perfection. You need to pay attention to the small details, so make sure you’re giving this book your full attention, it is definitely worth it. Steve Cavanagh, congratulations on creating a masterpiece.
I give Twisted a 5/5 rating, and it is certainly a MUST READ! I can’t wait to read more of Cavanagh’s work in the future!
This sounds like an INCREDIBLE read – definitely one I shall be checking out. Just the three points you posted were enough to get me completely hooked. Great review!

I’m not usually really into this kind of book since there’s often little work done on the characters. From your review, though, sounds like I’m going to have to give it a shot, since characters are definitely my favorite part of any book.
Great review!
