The Anonymous Bookaholics Tag

Hey everyone!
I am sorry for being absent for a few days, but my 2 year old daughter fractured her elbow, and we’ve spent the past 2 days at the hospital!

Anyway, I am back now, and it’s Tuesday which means it is tag day on my blog. Today, I am doing the Anonymous Bookaholics tag, which I saw Lauren @ Lala’s Book Reviews do recently.

So here goes…

1 – What do you like about buying new books?

Just that feeling of excitement about having a new book, and the anticipation of reading it!

2 – How often do you buy new books?

Erm… at least once a week. But, I am currently on a book buying ban, so it has been a few weeks since I last bought one.

3 – Bookstore or online book shopping: which do you prefer?

Book store, 100%! I love that feeling of walking around a book store and looking at books, especially if I haven’t already decided which book I am going to buy. There’s something extremely satisfying about searching a book store.

4 – Do you have a favourite bookshop?

There’s currently not any small, independent book shops in my local area, but one is opening at the beginning of March, and I can’t wait. So I mostly shop in Waterstones for new books, and the local oxfam book shop for second-hand.

5 – Do you pre-order books?

Quite often actually! If it’s a book I’ve been really looking forward to, or one of my auto-buy authors.

6 – Do you have a monthly buying limit?

Definitely not. I would never stick to it if I did anyway.

7 – How big is your wish list?

Not that big really, mainly because I impulse buy, so when I do put them on my wish list, they don’t stay there for long before I end up buy them.

8 – Which three books from your wish list do you wish to own right now?

  • The Folio Society editions of The Notebooks of Leonardo Da Vinci
  • Salvador Dali at Home by Jackie De Burca
  • The Art of Murder by J.S. Strange

  1. I’m in the same boat as you with impulse buying books! I’ve definitely gotten better with the number of books I buy since I got my kindle though, because each time I want to order a new book I always think about how cheap I could get it on kindle and it makes me hold off on buying it.
