I’m Courtney (ANerdyBookBirdy), I am 22 years old from North Yorkshire, UK. I am a student studying a master’s degree in archaeology. I love learning about our history and understanding the worlds of the past, quite often my favourite part of a book is the world building and learning about the cultural and historical information within the book and how they have affected the present society displayed. I prefer reading Fantasy books and fairytale retellings as I love the ideas surrounding magic and mythical creatures.

Who are some of your favourite authors?
My favourite author is Sarah J. Maas and at the moment I am loving
Melissa Bashardoust’s work and Naomi Novik’s.

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve read a book yet that has a big enough impact on me that I think everyone should read it. I think every fantasy lover should read Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust or The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang.
