Wrap Up: June 2020

Hey everyone!
It’s time for my June wrap up! I can’t believe it is July already. This year is speeding by!

Once again, I have had a pretty good month of reading. I managed to get through the whole of my June TBR, and started one that wasn’t on my list.

In total, I finished 4 books.

BOOK 1: Hands Up by Stephen Clark

I received a copy of Hands Up from the author, in exchange for an honest review. Hands Up is extremely relevant right now, focusing on police brutality, and the Black Lives Matter movement. REVIEW HERE!

BOOK 2: The Safe Place by Anna Downes

I received a copy of The Safe Place from Hodder & Stoughton. This isn’t an action packed thriller, but the slow building intensity throughout the book will have you struggling to put it down. REVIEW HERE!

BOOK 3: Childish Spirits by Rob Keeley

I received a copy of Childish Spirits from the author, in exchange for an honest review. I didn’t really know what I was expecting when I started this, but it was a fun little read, that is great to pass the day. I was expecting it to be more creepy, but it was still a good book. Full review to come.

BOOK 4: Lord of the Flies by William Golding

I read Lord of the Flies about 12 years ago while I was at school, but didn’t enjoy it much (I didn’t enjoy many of my school reading experiences), and I hadn’t read it since. So, I decided to reread it, and give it another chance, but it still didn’t wow me. I don’t understand how it is considered a modern classic. Full review to come.

Which books did you read in June?
Which was your favourite of the month?
Have you read any of the books from my June wrap up?

Let me know in the comments!
