WWW Wednesday – 8th July 2020

Hey everyone!

It is time for this week’s WWW Wednesday post! Not much has changed since my last WWW, but here’s an update anyway.

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and brought back by Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

I am currently reading Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi. I am around 75% of the way through, and am hoping to have it finished in the next few days. I am really enjoying this book, and will definitely be purchasing the sequel.

I am also currently reading Ten Days in a Mad-House by Nellie Bly. I hadn’t intended on reading this book this month, but I needed something to read while I was in the bath, and taking my kindle seemed a bit too risky! I haven’t read much of it yet, but so far it is extremely interesting, and I can’t wait to read more.

Recently Finished:

I recently finished reading Lord of the Flies by William Golding. I last read this book while I was in school (it was about 12 years ago), but I didn’t really enjoy it. I put down to the fact that we were reading it as a class, but after re-reading it, I can honestly say that that wasn’t the case. Although it is a good book, I wouldn’t say it is great. I probably won’t be re-read it again. Full review to come!

Reading Next:

Next, I will be reading The Ship of Shadows by Maria Kuzniar. This is a little out of my usual comfort zone, but I am trying to broaden my range of reading, and I love a good pirate story! I am taking part in the Write Reads/Puffin blog tour for this, and I am really looking forward to it. My stop on the tour is 31st July, and I will be posting my review of the book.

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Have you read any of these books? If yes, what did you think?

Let me know in the comments!

  2. Ten Days in a Madhouse sounds interesting. I’ve read about it in historical fiction and learned about it in a book about psychiatric facilities, but I never read a book specifically about the facility itself. Happy reading!

Ha, I remember reading Lord of the Flies in school too. I tried to do a re-read and had to quit so good on you for sticking to it 🙂
    Happy reading! xo

  4. Glad to see you’re enjoying CoBaB! I’m also on the upcoming blog tour for The Ship of Shadows, so that’s one of my upcoming reads, too. I’m looking forward to it, especially because I’m a sucker for pirates (especially female pirates). Happy reading!
