Ten Bookish Questions Tag

Hey everyone!
It is Tag Tuesday, and this week I will be doing the Ten Bookish Questions tag. Thank you to the lovely And On She Reads for the tag!

How many books do you currently own?

Oh wow, luckily I recently counted!

I have:
435 physical books
94 ebooks

Total: 529 books!

How many books are you currently reading?

I actually struggle to read more than one book at a time, but I am currently reading 2 books.

The Ship of Shadows by Maria Kuzniar

Ten Days in a Mad-House by Nellie Bly.

Choose a couple of books you read but didn’t enjoy?

I say this every time, but I hated Alice in Wonderland
And another book that I read, and really didn’t enjoy is Cupidity by Lucinda Lamont.

A cover buy?

Wilder Girls by Rory Power. It has such a gorgeous cover! I’ve heard so many good things about it too, so I’m glad the cover made me buy it, and I can’t wait to read it!

A book you haven’t read in years?

Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. I haven’t read it since I was at school, it was probably about 11 years ago, but I really want to re-read it. It is one of the very few school reading experiences that I actually enjoyed!

A book you will always recommend?

Anything by Steve Cavanagh! All of his books are incredible, but if I was to choose one in particular, I would go with Twisted.

All time favourite book series?

Of course, I have to say the Vampirates series by Justin Somper.

Where do you read?

Anywhere, and everywhere! But most of my reading is done on the sofa, specifically the left side, leaning against the arm rest, with my feet up (and most of the time, with a blanket over me).

What are the last two books you gave a 5 star rating?

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

The Safe Place by Anna Downes

  1. Love these questions!! Thank you for the tag Danni. 💜💚❤️ I really feel so bad for you and all the other HP fans. It’s horrid to see JKR become such a spreader of hate and fear when her legacy could’ve been someone who brought so much joy to so many. Shameful that she’s using her platform so negatively now and basically crapping on the happy childhood memories of readers like you. Big hugs ❤️💛💚

    1. You’re welcome! Yes, it is pretty hard loving HP right now, her behaviour has been so disgusting, and seems to be getting worse and worse! HP got me through some of the darkest times in my life, but now it feels awful to even think about. ❤️❤️❤️

    1. I’ve just finished The Ship of Shadows, and absolutely adored it! Yes, it is definitely hard to love HP right now

  2. Our reading positions are so similar 🤣 down to the blanket. The only thing that’s differs is the place😂 I’m usually on my bed. I struggle to read more than one book at a time too :/ I’m so impressed that you answered the first question. I’d have ducked straight out of it 😂 #EVERGROWINLISTOFBOOKS

    1. It is just so comfy!😂 Luckily I had added them up recently, for a challenge I am doing this year, otherwise I wouldn’t have answered😂😂
