Music Monday – Carolyn by Black Veil Brides

Hey everyone!

It’s time for another Music Monday! For this week’s song, I have chosen Carolyn by Black Veil Brides.

Music Monday was created by Drew over on The Tattooed Book Geek.

Carolyn by Black Veil Brides

Carolyn features on Black Veil Brides’ 2010 debut album, We Stitch These Wounds. To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the album’s release, BVB have just released a re-imagined version of the album, titled Re-Stitch These Wounds.

This song is so meaningful, and so emotional, and it is very important to me. Black Veil Brides have been my favourite band for the whole 10 years that they have been around, and despite the fact that I love all of their songs, there are select few that hold a special place in my heart, and Carolyn is one of them.

The link below is the re-imagined version, not the original.

Lyrics

Those times in life we learn to try, with one intention
Of learning how and when we’ll die, but we can’t listen
I wish to God I’d known that I, I didn’t stand a chance
Of looking back and knowing why, or pain of circumstance

You’re not alone
We’ll brave this storm

So here’s my song I wrote in time, when it was needed
Through pain of heart or loss of mind, your burdens lifted
You aren’t alone just know that I
Can’t save our hearts tonight

You’re not alone
We’ll brave this storm
Let’s face today
You’re not alone

You’re not alone
We’ll brave this storm
Let’s face today
You’re not alone

You’re not alone
We’ll brave this storm
Let’s face today
