My Top 5: Popular Authors Who I Haven’t Read

Hey everyone!
It is time for another My Top 5 post, and for today’s top 5, I am sharing 5 popular authors who’s books I have never read.

1 – Neil Gaiman

I actually really want to start reading some Neil Gaiman books, because they seem like the type of books I would really enjoy, but I just haven’t gotten to them yet.

2 – Sarah J Maas

Sarah J Maas is absolutely everywhere, but I’ve just never bothered with the hype… probably because they’re not my usual genre. I do actually own a copy of Throne of Glass, but it has sat unread on my shelves for years! I am actually trying to broaden my range of reading, so maybe one day I will give it a go.

3 – Leigh Bardugo

Another one who is absolutely everywhere! I have been considering giving Leigh Bardugo’s books a try for a while, particularly Ninth House!

4 – Cassandra Clare

I have to be honest, I don’t even know what sort of books Cassandra Clare writes, but I hear her name everywhere! Maybe I’ll have to actually take a look, and see if they’re my sort of thing or not.

5 – Ransom Riggs

I have been eyeing up Ransom Riggs’ Miss Peregrine series for a while, and have seen the film (which I really enjoyed), so I have no idea why I haven’t read them yet!

Are any of these your favourite authors?
If yes, which of their books would you highly recommend?
Are any of these authors on your unread list too?
Which popular authors have you not read?

Let me know in the comments!

  1. Great post as always Danni! These are ALL my fave authors lol, I’ve only read a bit of Neil Gaiman but have read nearly all the books by the others and live their work. I think you will live Neil Gaiman and Ransom Riggs and potentially Leigh Bardugo’s Ninth House, however Clare and Maas are more on the heavy fantasy and urban fantasy level so maybe dip your toes in those too, I loved the ACOTAR series especially but it’s very heavy fantasy and fairly explicit so just keep that in mind! Hope you end up picking some of their books up and I hope you enjoy! πŸ˜ƒ

  2. I enjoyed the first book in the ‘Miss Peregrine’ series (the only one I read,) and I highly recommend Neil Gaiman’s books. My favorite is ‘Neverwhere,’ but I enjoyed ‘Coraline’ and ‘The Ocean at the End of the Lane’ too. πŸ™‚
