  • Have fun and get to know one another!

Introduction

Introduce yourself!

Hi everyone, I’m Danni. I’m 24 years old, and I’m from Suffolk. I have a 3 year old daughter, and am currently a stay at home mum.

Something most everyone wants to know… do you have any pets?

YES, I have 3! A cat, named Crash, a Chihuahua, named Eddy, and a Russian Dwarf hamster named Anna.

What is your favorite thing to drink?

Peach flavoured sparkling water, Dr Pepper, or beer

What is your favorite season?

Autumn (fall). All of the colours are so beautiful, IT’S SPOOKY SEASON, and I get to wear comfy jumpers, and snuggle up in blankets! It’s the best!

Do you have any special talents?

I don’t know if they would count as “special”, but art, and karate.

Blogging

When and why did you start your blog?

I started my blog in April 2019, mainly because I already had a bookstagram account, nut wanted to be more active in the book community. Also, I love sharing my thoughts on books with others, and I think my family were getting a little tired of hearing about every book I read, haha!

What is something that you wish you knew about blogging when you first started?

It takes up a lot more time than you think, and writing the first sentence of a review is always a struggle.

What has been the hardest part about blogging?

I would probably say having confidence in my own blog. It is very easy to get yourself down if you see that a post isn’t doing as well as you would have hoped. Also, when I see other blogs that are really amazing, I start to doubt my own blog, and my own content. But, I just have to keep telling myself that it’s okay.

What has been the most rewarding part of blogging?

Knowing that people actually appreciate my opinion, and seeing people read books because of my recommendations.

Do you write your posts a head of time or write them the day of posting?

I always schedule my posts in advance, often a whole week’s worth! It makes life a lot easier.

Reading

Who are your top 5 favorite authors?

  • Steve Cavanagh
  • James Herbert
  • WD Jackson-Smart
  • Justin Somper
  • Jane Austen

What genre do you read the most?

I’m pretty sure you all know that Thriller is my go to genre!

What genre surprised you by how much you love it?

If I’m honest, I don’t think there is a genre that I’ve been surprised that I love.

Which popular book didn’t live up to the hype for you?

I’ve said it before (MANY times) and I’ll say it again, Alice in Wonderland is awful.

Who are some popular authors you haven’t read?

I actually did a My Top 5 post about this recently, so I’ll just link that HERE!

What upcoming release are you excited to read?

When I Come Home Again by Caroline Scott. I have an arc copy of the book, which I have had for a while, but I’ve been saving it until closer to the release date, which is 29th October, so I will be reading it very soon! I read The Photographer of the Lost by Caroline Scott in 2019 (REVIEW HERE), and it is the best historical fiction book I have ever read (and I read quite a few), so I can’t wait to see what When I Come Home Again is like.

PURCHASE HERE (affiliate links): Amazon UK, Waterstones, Book Depository

Do you listen to music while reading?

Definitely not. I would find it way too distracting, and I have to give a book my full attention.

Where else can we find you online?

Twitter, Instagram, GoodReads, Facebook, Etsy

  1. I loved your answers! And you’re so young, makes me feel ancient as I started blogging in 2010 and did it for five years but have recently started again. Having confidence in what you’re doing, despite feedback (or lack thereof) is a game changer. Glad I stumbled onto your blog.
