Sober October

Hey everyone!
No book related post today, but I wanted to share something important with you all.

This year, Alex and I have decided to take part in Sober October, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support!

This is a cause that is very important for our families. They have helped a lot in regards to family members/friends who have battled cancer, and we want to do as much as we can to give back.

It is going to be tough, but we are looking forward to raising money for such an incredible cause.

We would be extremely grateful for any sponsors. I know times are tough right now, but if you have even as little as £5 to spare, every little helps, and your sponsors could literally save someone’s life!

  1. I’d love to sponsor. Our state, Wisconsin, has 7 of the 10 drunkest cities in the United States, and many people are proud of it! I find this post rather timely because I just picked up Quit like a woman : the radical choice to not drink in a culture obsessed with alcohol Author: Whitaker, Holly, from the library. I haven’t had a drink in over 7 years by choice, because I didn’t want to send the wrong message to my kids, because alcoholism runs in my family, because I think society takes drinking far too casually. Raising funds for cancer is always a good thing!
