The Outstanding Blogger Award – Part 3

Hey everyone!

I was nominated by the lovely Hannah @ Hannah’s Book Reviews for the Outstanding Blogger Award! Thank you so much for the nomination, I am extremely grateful!

If you haven’t already, go check out her wonderful blog!

Rules:

  • Have the link to the creator’s original award post
  • Answer the questions provided
  • Create 7 unique questions
  • Nominate 10 other bloggers. Neither the award’s creator nor the blogger that nominated you can be nominated

Questions From Hannah:

1 – Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging because I wanted somewhere to share my thoughts with others, and to make some new friends with similar interests to me. I have kept blogging because I love the book community so much, everyone is so nice, and supportive, and really make the blogging experience more enjoyable.

2 – What’s your favourite book?

I don’t have a particular favourite because I love so many! So I will list some:

  • The Rats by James Herbert
  • The Vampirates series by Justin Somper
  • Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh
  • The Photographer of the Lost by Caroline Scott
  • Van Gogh’s Ear by Bernadette Murphy

3 – Have you read/are you reading any books in a foreign language?

Nope. Unfortunately, the only languages I know other than English are VERY basic French and Spanish. I would definitely like to learn a few more languages and then potentially read some books in those languages too.

4 – What’s your Hogwarts house?

Since JKR revealed her true self, I do not associate myself with her, or any of her work, so I no longer talk about HP.

5 – Paperback or hardback books?

Hardbacks! Yes, paperbacks are cheaper, and easier to carry around, but hardbacks are just so much more beautiful!

6 – What are the longest and shortest books on your bookshelf?

I think the shortest is probably Dead Deep by Justin Somper, which is a little novella, set between books 1 and 2 of the Vampirates series. It was released as a World Book Day book in 2007.

The longest is probably either The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien (I have the all in one original format), or Leonard Da Vinci by Walter Isaacson (which I have had for a few years now, but the size of it is so intimidating, I haven’t read it yet)

7 – What book would you love to see as a TV series/film adaptation?

Of course I would love to see the Vampirates series by Justin Somper get an adaptation, not only because is it my favourite, but also because I know that it would make an amazing TV/film series!

I Nominate:

My Questions:

  1. What was your last 5 star read?
  2. Who are your favourite Indie/Self-Published authors?
  3. What is your most anticipated release of 2021?
  4. Do you have any pets? If yes, PLEASE post pictures!
  5. What would you consider to be your biggest blogging achievement?
  6. List some of your favourite blogs to read.
  7. Do you enjoy non-fiction books? If yes, which types? and name some of your favourites.
