Hey everyone!
It’s time for my April TBR! For this month, I have picked out 6 books, including a couple that I have already started.
1 – The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien

I am continuing my buddy read of The Lord of the Rings. I am counting this as my pick for the Fantasy prompt for the #TRBTackleChallenge.
2 – The Four Symbols (Sacred Grounds) by Giacometti & Ravenne

I started this last month, but didn’t get chance to finish it because I had to prioritise blog tour books. So I will be finishing it this month. This is my pick for the International Authors prompt for the TBR Tackle Challenge.
3 – The Shadow Man by Helen Fields

I will be reading The Shadow Man by Helen Fields this month. I have had this on my NetGalley shelf for a while now, and I’m really looking forward to reading it. This is my pick for the Plant on the Cover prompt for the TBR Tackle Challenge (technically they’re flowers, but it still counts).
4 – Fluke by James Herbert

I am very excited to read Fluke by James Herbert. I love Herbert’s writing, and I am looking forward to reading more of his work. This is one of the books on my 2021 Reading Challenge.
5 – Things To Do Before The End of The World by Emily Barr (TBC)

I will be reading Things To Do Before The End of The World by Emily Barr for an upcoming The Write Reads blog tour, but I am currently waiting on confirmation as to whether I am on the tour, and waiting to receive a copy of the book if I am.
6 – The Mostly Invisible Boy by AJ Vanderhorst (TBC)

I will also be reading The Mostly Invisible Boy by AJ Vanderhorst for another upcoming The Write Reads blog tour, but again, I am currently waiting on confirmation as to whether I am on the tour, and waiting to receive a copy of the book if I am.
Which books are on your April TBR?

Wait! Wait?! Are you telling me that one of my favorite movies when I was a kid was based on a book by James Herbert?! The dude who writes horror?! Is the book also a horror? Is it just as cute and sad as the movie? I need to read it. There’s nothing else to do.
Great post btw 😊👍

It was indeed! I’ve not seen the movie, but I’m pretty sure the book is classed as a horror novel, so maybe they dulled it down for the movie? Looking forward to reading it! Thank you😊

I really have to read it now. The reminder of the movie and now knowing there’s a book really made my day. Thank you!

The movie might be coloured by my nostalgia glasses. I have not seen it in ages, I just remember that I loved it 😊
