Hey everyone!
Today, I will be doing the 20 Questions book tag, which I was tagged for a while back by the lovely Amy Louise @ The Shelves of Unread Books. Thank you so much for the tag! If you haven’t already, go check out her wonderful blog.
1 – How many books are too many books in a series?
Honestly, I think it depends on the series itself. Personally, unless I was following it as the books were released, I probably wouldn’t bother starting a series that’s over 6 books long.
2 – How do you feel about cliffhangers?
As frustrating as they are, I do love a good cliffhanger!
3 – Hardback or Paperback?
I always find this question difficult to answer, because I love both for different reasons. Paperbacks are a lot easier to carry around, and they’re cheaper. Hardbacks are just so aesthetically pleasing, especially when they’re all lined up on your bookshelves, and they’re also a lot sturdier. If I had to choose, I would probably say hardback.
4 – Favourite book?
The entire Vampirates series. I love this series with my whole heart, and I always will!

5 – Least favourite book?
I’m not going to include DNF’s, because I never actually finished them, so my least favourite book that I’ve actually finished is probably Alice In Wonderland… Sorry Alice fans!
6 – Love triangles, yes or no?
This really depends on how well it is written… I have read some awful love triangles, but also some brilliant ones!
7 – The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?
The last book I DNF’ed was Digital Monsters by Dr. Vivian Asimos, but I’m not going to count that because I didn’t DNF it because it’s a bad book, I DNF’ed it because I realised after starting it that I just wasn’t in the mood for that particular type of book at that time, and I will pick it back up again.
The last book I DNF’ed and don’t intend on trying again is Blood, Metal, Bone by Lindsay Cummings. I was so disappointed when I DNF’ed this one, because to begin with I was really enjoying it, but then it took a real sci-fi turn that I wasn’t expecting (and that wasn’t mentioned on NetGalley when I requested it), and I’m not really a sci-fi fan. Again, this isn’t a bad book, the writing is fantastic, but the sci-fi element just meant that it wasn’t to my taste. I know that a lot of you would LOVE this book!
8 – A book you’re currently reading?
I am currently reading The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien with The Write Reads “book club that’s not really a book club”.

9 – Last book you recommended to someone?
I’ve recommended a few recently, so I’m not sure what the LAST one was, but I’ve been recommending Watch Her Fall by Erin Kelly A LOT lately. It’s a fantastic book, and I just want to talk to everyone about it!

10 – Oldest book you’ve read?
I have absolutely no idea… haha!
11 – Newest book you’ve read?
I don’t really know, because a lot of the books I’ve read recently aren’t even out yet… The newest book I’ve read that has actually been released is probably Watch Her Fall.
12 – Favourite author?
I have a few – Steve Cavanagh, Caroline Scott, WD Jackson-Smart, Justin Somper, James Herbert, Josie Jaffrey
13 – Buying books or borrowing books?
Buying books! I love having my own copies of books!
14 – A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?
Same answer as further up in the questions… Alice In Wonderland. I hated the entire reading experience.
15 – Bookmarks or dog-ears?
BOOKMARKS. Dog-eared pages are a huge pet peeve of mine. Plus, I used to make (and sell) bookmarks, so I always have loads laying around!
16 – A book you can always reread?
Again, the Vampirates series! I’m actually overdue a reread, so I’ll definitely be fitting that in to my schedule soon.
17 – Can you read while listening to music?
Oh god no, I get distracted way too easily. My mind will be trying to read, but also trying to sing the songs at the same time, so I end up reading the same line over and over again. I’m also not really a fan of instrumental music, so that’s out of the question.
18 – One POV or multiple POVs?
Another one that really depends on the book. I do think I prefer multiple POVs though, as long as there isn’t too many.
19 – Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
Life gets in the way, so I never read a book in one sitting. I WISH I could read a book in one sitting though!

I have never actually read Alice in Wonderland! I imagine it’s completely nuts if the films are anything to go by. I don’t even feel tempted to read it lol! Great answers and thank you for tagging me!
