2021 Wrap Up

Hey everyone!
At the end of 2020, I was so hopeful that 2021 would be a better year, but in reality it turned out to be even worse. Thank god it is over! I am really hopeful that 2022 will be better, and this year, I am determined to make sure that it is.

In regards to books, and my blog, I had another pretty good year. I took a few little breaks on my blog in 2021, and didn’t pressure myself to post every day. However, I will still be continuing to try to post most days.

I thought I would share a general wrap up of the year with you all, so here it is!

GoodReads Challenge:

At the beginning of the year, I set myself a target of 40 books, and I am very happy to say that I reached my target! In 2021, I read a total of 44 books!

Reading Goals/Challenges:

I set myself a few goals and challenges for 2021, you can read the original post for them all here.

  • Clearing The Shelves

In 2021, I had planned to take on a lot less blog tours, review requests, and ARCs, so that I could really focus on the books I already own… Yeah, that didn’t happen, haha! So, my shelves are just as packed with unread books as they were, if not more.

  • #TBRTackleChallenge

I also took part in the #TBRTackleChallenge on Instagram. Each month, there are a short list of prompts, and you pick a book for as many or as few of them as you would like from your TBR. Again, the idea was to cut down my number of unread books on my shelves. I did a few months of the prompts, but didn’t manage to take part every month.

  • 2021 Reading Challenge

In 2021, I took part in the 2021 Reading Challenge, hosted by Mina @ Stacked. You can check out which books I chose for the prompts HERE. I’ll be honest, I did an absolutely awful job at this, for the second year in a row. I will be taking part in this challenge again in 2022, and hopefully do a better job.

BBNYA (Book Bloggers Novel of the Year Award)

Once again, I was lucky enough to be selected as a panelist for this year’s Book Bloggers Novel of the Year Award, but not only was I a panelist this year, I was also a team leader! This was an incredible experience, and I am extremely grateful to have had this opportunity. The competition was so close this year, and I read some fantastic books because of this. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to be involved again in 2022!

My Blog:

In 2021, I had a total of 20,616 views! It’s a little less than I had in 2020, but as I already mention, I took a few breaks from my blog in 2021, where as I posted every single day in 2020. This is still a huge amount of views that I never expected to have, and I am extremely grateful to all of my readers.

I have made so many new friends this year, as well as grown already existing friendships, and have had so much fun! This has continued to be such a great experience, and I can not wait to see what 2022 has in store for me and my blog.

A huge thank you to everyone who has been a part of my blogging journey in 2021, to all of my followers and readers, and everyone who has been supportive along the way!

  1. I’m glad you got some good reads in for the year!
I utterly failed in my reading goals XD I had a lot of specific books I wanted to get to in 2021 but barely got to a quarter of them lol but hopefully my 2022 goals are more realistic
