My Top 5: Favourite Horror Books

Hey everyone!
To celebrate it being spooky season (THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR), today I am sharing my top 5 favourite horror books with you all.

1 – The Rats Series by James Herbert

The Rats (Book 1) review
Lair (Book 2) review
Domain (Book 3) review

The Rats is easily my favourite horror, and all 3 books in the series are my top 3, but so that it doesn’t take up over half of my post, I’m condensing it down to giving the whole series the number 1 spot.

2 – House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland

House of Hollow is absolutely fantastic, and I loved every second of it! It definitely pushed the boundaries of YA.

3 – Sour Candy by Kealan Patrick Burke

Despite being a short novella, Sour Candy packs a punch. Kealan Patrick Burke’s writing is perfection in this story, and I think about this book on a regular basis!

4 – IT by Stephen King

IT is a classic. Clowns are my biggest fear, and Pennywise is terrifying, but how can you not love this book? (Obviously not including THAT scene… if you know, you know)

5 – Dread Wood by Jennifer Killick

A brilliant MG horror, and a real joy to read. After reading Dread Wood, I’m desperate to carry on with this series!

What are your top 5 favourite horror books?
Have you read any of mine?
If yes, what did you think?
