The Bookworm’s Book Tag

Hey everyone!

Today I will be doing the Bookworm’s Book Tag. A huge thank you to the lovely Kerri @ Kerri McBookNerd for tagging me, if you haven’t already, go check out her wonderful blog!

The Rules:

  1. Thank and link the blogger who nominated you
  2. Include the tag graphic in your post
  3. Answer the 10 questions the blogger asked
  4. Nominate 5-10 bloggers
  5. Ask you nominees 10 book related questions
  6. Don’t feel bound to these rules
  7. Have fun!

Kerri’s Questions:

1 – Seeming as we’re already halfway through 2021, what is a 2022 release you can’t wait to read?

I’m not even thinking about 2022 releases yet, there is too many coming up in 2021 still that I’m excited about/want to read first, haha!

2 – What is your favorite bookish merch?

Bookmarks! I love a good bookmark.

3 – What is your favorite and least favorite trope?

My favourite is probably unreliable narrator, but I honestly don’t know what I would consider to be my least favourite.

4 – Do you have a character that you really relate to/reminds you of yourself?

I can relate to Ellen in the Why Mummy series by Gill Sims. I don’t think I would say that I’m like her as a person, but I can really relate to her general every day struggles of parenthood.

5 – What has been your favorite book so far in 2021?

I have read so many fantastic books so far this year, but my favourite is Watch Her Fall by Erin Kelly.

6 – What is your favorite book from childhood?

The Vampirates series by Justin Somper! I still love reading this series now, as an adult.

7 – If you could have any animal companion from any book, which would you pick?

This is a tough one, because there are so many I would love to pick, but I think I’m going to go with Aslan from the Narnia books. Who wouldn’t want a fearsome but friendly lion who can talk as a companion?

8 – Who are your top three authors?

  • Steve Cavanagh
  • Caroline Scott
  • Josie Jaffrey

9 – What is your favorite book in a genre you don’t usually read?

The Last Bear by Hannah Gold. I don’t read a lot of middle grade, but this book is absolutely beautiful!

10 – Which do you prefer: first, second, or third person narration?

I think it depends on the book, and the way it is written. If I had to choose, I would probably say first person though.

My Questions:

  1. What is your biggest bookish pet peeve?
  2. Do you read non-fiction? If yes, what types?
  3. What is your GoodReads goal for the year? And how are you getting on with it?
  4. Who are you favourite indie authors?
  5. Do you prefer paperback, hardback, ebook, or audiobook?
  6. What has been your favourite book of 2021 so far?
  7. Which book are you most excited to read in the remainder of 2021?
  8. What is your go to genre of choice?
  9. Are there any genres that you just can’t stand reading?
  10. If you could interview one author (dead or alive), who would it be? and why?
