Monthly Wrap Up: May 2025

Hey everyone!

It’s time for my monthly wrap up post for May! I picked out 6 books for May, and you can see which books I picked in my May TBR post. I managed to get through quite a few books in May, which I’m shocked about because the month was so busy.

In total, I read 5 books in May, and DNF’ed one.

Books Read:

1 – Inside Broadmoor by Jonathan Levi and Emma French

I read Inside Broadmoor by Jonathan Levi and Emma French while on holiday, and it was a fascinating read! This was included on my Chapter 25 Reading Challenge TBR for the “A non-fiction book on a topic you’re curious about” prompt.

2 – Ruck Me by James Haskell

Ruck Me by James Haskell was my 2nd holiday read. After reading What A Flanker (REVIEW HERE) on holiday last year, I knew that this would be the perfect poolside read. I really enjoyed this book! This was included on my 25 in 2025 Reading Challenge TBR.

3 – Never Lie by Freida McFadden

Never Lie by Freida McFadden was my book club’s April read, to be discussed at our May meet up. I left this book a little late and didn’t start it until May, a week before our meet up. This was good, but I’m sure how I feel about Freida’s writing style… Review to come.

4 – Medea by Rosie Hewlett

Medea by Rosie Hewlett was my book club’s May read, to be discussed in June. Unlike Never Lie, I was super organised with this one and read it in plenty of time. I was nervous going in to it because I’m a little hit and miss with mythology novels, but I ended up loving this book! I can’t wait to see what everyone else thought at our meet up next week. Review to come.

5 – Turtle Moon by Hannah Gold

Turtle Moon by Hannah Gold was another book on my 25 in 2025 TBR. Having loved all of Hannah’s other books that I had read, I was super excited for this one, and it certainly lived up to my expectations! Review to come.

Book I DNF’ed:

1 – Talking With Psychopaths: Guilty But Insane by Christopher Berry Dee

I had been really looking forward to reading Talking With Psychopaths: Guilty But Insane by Christopher Berry-Dee, but it massively disappointed me, and I just couldn’t get through it, so I DNF’ed this one. This also featured on my 25 in 2025 TBR.
