Wrap Up: November 2019

Hey everyone!

Another month, another wrap up. For my November TBR, I picked out 4 books, but I only managed to read 3, one of which was not even included on my TBR. This month has been super busy with wedding planning, so I didn’t get as much time to read as I had expected, and I’m surprised that I even finished 3!

The 3 books I read in November are:

BOOK 1: The Photographer of the Lost by Caroline Scott

While many survivors of the Great War have been reunited with their loved ones, Edie’s husband Francis has not come home. He is considered ‘missing in action’, but when Edie receives a mysterious photograph taken by Francis in the post, hope flares. And so she begins to search.
Harry, Francis’s brother, fought alongside him. He too longs for Francis to be alive, so they can forgive each other for the last things they ever said. Hired by grieving families to photograph gravesites, Harry travels through battle-scarred France gathering news for British wives and mothers, and along the way Harry desperately searches for evidence of his brother.
And as Harry and Edie’s paths converge, they get closer to a startling truth.

I read The Photographer of the Lost as part of a book tour on Instagram. I have always been a fan of historical fiction, especially war related, but this book honestly blew me away! By far one of the best historical fiction books I have ever read. FULL REVIEW HERE!

BOOK 2: Secrets of the Great Fire Tree by Justine Laismith

A Boy.

I was asked to be be a part of the official blog tour for Secrets of the Great Fire Tree by the author. If I am completely honest, this book wasn’t really for me. By no means is it a bad book, and I’m sure a lot of people will really enjoy it. EXCERPT POST HERE!

BOOK 3: Hold Your Tongue by Deborah Masson

I read Hold Your Tongue for the official blog tour, which I had the honour of being a part of. I absolutely loved this book! The story is brutal, and graphic, tense, and gripping. Everything I could have hoped for! I can’t wait for this series to continue! FULL REVIEW HERE!
