My Top 5: Books Read In 2020 So Far

Hey everyone!
For today’s My Top 5 post, I am sharing my favourites books that I have read so far this year. I have read so many great books already in 2020, so this was a lot more difficult to narrow down than I had expected.

1 – Keep Her Quiet by Emma Curtis

The storyline is absolutely insane, but that is what makes Keep Her Quiet so good, because it is not only insane, but also very believable. I absolutely devoured this book, and I can guarantee that you won’t be able to put it down either. This is definitely my favourite Emma Curtis book that I have read, and easily my favourite book of the year so far! REVIEW COMING SOON!

2 – Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

I absolutely loved every second of Children of Blood and Bone, and I can not wait to read Children of Virtue and Vengeance (despite the very mixed reactions to it). This is a book that I could definitely re-read over and over again. REVIEW HERE!

3 – Truth Be Told by Kia Abdullah

I didn’t think that Kia Abdullah could top Take It Back, but I personally think that she has done just that with Truth Be Told. This is one of those stories that will stick with you for a long time after you have finished it, and I can guarantee that you won’t stop thinking about it. REVIEW COMING SOON!

4 – The Ship of Shadows by Maria Kuzniar

PURCHASE HERE (affiliate links): Amazon UKWaterstonesBook Depository

This book is full of magic, adventure, and is lots of fun to read. Pirate stories have always been a favourite of mine, even as a child, and the fact that The Ship of Shadows is an all female crew makes this one even better! It certainly surpassed all of my expectations. REVIEW HERE!

5 – Fifty Fifty by Steve Cavanagh

PURCHASE HERE (affiliate links): Amazon UK, Waterstones, Book Depository

Once again, Steve Cavanagh has produced a masterpiece. This book will have you on the edge of your seat, and second guessing every theory you have about what is coming. I am really hoping that there will be more books to come in the Eddie Flynn series, because I am definitely not ready to leave this character behind, and I doubt I will be any time soon. REVIEW HERE!

  1. Children of Blood and Bone is on my TBR, but not got round to reading it yet. The cover of The Ship of Shadows is just beautiful! Sounds really interesting from the synopsis also. Adding it to the TBR now!
