As you will know from my 2022 Reading Goals and Challenges post, this year, I am attempting to #BeatTheBacklog.
Today, I am sharing my updated book stats, to see how many unread books I own and how much progress I’ve made.
I am going to be sharing updates on this every few months to see how I’m getting on.
Here are my stats from back in February:
Physical Books:
Number of physical books I own: 393
Number of physical book I have read: 118
Number of unread physical books: 275
E-Books:
Number of e-books I own: 180
Number of e-books I have read: 84
Number of unread e-books: 96
Total:
Number of books I own: 573
Number of books I have read: 202
Number of unread books: 371
And here are my updated stats as they currently stand:
Physical Books:
Number of physical books I own: 424
Number of physical book I have read: 131
Number of unread physical books: 293
E-Books:
Number of e-books I own: 189
Number of e-books I have read: 91
Number of unread e-books: 98
Total:
Number of books I own: 613
Number of books I have read: 222
Number of unread books: 391
Although my stats are still great, and I have A LOT of unread books (20 more than I had back in February), it’s not actually as bad as I was expecting! My birthday was at the end of March and I bought quite a lot of books with birthday money, so that’s why I haven’t really made a huge amount of progress. However, I have put myself on a book buying ban, so I will hopefully make quite a dent in the number of unread books by my next update.
