Update: 2020 TBR Reading Challenge

Hey everyone!

For today’s post, I am updating you all on my progress with the 2020 TBR Reading Challenge, which was created by the lovely Mina @ Stacked.

Here’s a quick recap for anyone who doesn’t know about the challenge…

The Rules:

  • Pick a novel for each of the 22 TBR prompts. If that’s too much for you, it’s OK to go for less. However…
  • Those who finish all 22 prompts and post their reviews on their blogs/vlogs have a chance to win a book of their choice as a reward! (International, as long as Book Depository ships to your country)
  • You can’t start reading those books before January 1st!
  • Follow the creators Twitter account as she will create a blog hopping sheet (when the challenge begins) where you can leave your links. Also, to make it easier for her to keep up, please use #2020TBRReadingChallenge tag.
  • Thank the person that tagged you
  • Tag the original challenge page (this one)
  • Tag at least 5 people

The 2020 TBR Reading Challenge Checklist:

Here is a list of the books I chose for the checklist:

Progress:

Okay, so I am doing absolute awful with this challenge so far…

Because I had such a big back log of review requests and NetGalley ARCs to get through, I have only actually read 1 book from my list so far.

The only book I have read is Searching For Edgar’s Five Dancers by Efren O’Brien, and technically I didn’t even read it, because I DNF’ed at around 55%. You can find my review HERE, and find out why I decided to DNF.

I am hoping to get through a few more of the books on my list in the next couple of months.

Are you taking part in any reading challenges this year?
Have you read any of the books I have chosen?

let me know in the comments!

  1. Good luck on the challenge moving forward and with those ARCS. I’m sure you can do it! And even if it doesn’t work out that’s fine too. I haven’t really set any strict challenges this year. Just a total number and some “read more of” goals. This year is pretty busy so I didn’t feel like stressing out about any challenges.

  2. Great post Danni, this sounds really good and an awesome way to get through the TBR! I’m doing the Popsugar Reading Challenge and Book Riot’s Read Harder Challenge, I’ve managed to get a few off both already, I should start reading more though aha! Good luck!

  3. I’m attempting the Popsugar Reading Challenge again this year. I’m doing much better than in 2019! I’m also attempting the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge and that is going… less well 😅

Good luck on your challenge! It looks like fun!

  4. Good luck with the challenge! 😀 I can understand having an arc backlog, it’s the reason I’m not doing any reading challenges this year apart from the main Goodreads one. I don’t think I could commit to so many books to read on top of my current arc tbr list. But I love the challenge and hope it happens next year, maybe I’ll take part then 🙂 Best of luck and don’t worry, you’ve got plenty of time to read those books 🙂
