Wrap Up: September 2020

Hey everyone!

Today I will be sharing my September Wrap Up! I didn’t fully stick to my September TBR, but in total, I finished 3 books, DNF’ed 2, and I have 2 more that I have started but not finished yet.

BOOKS READ:

BOOK 1: Out For Blood by Deborah Masson

PURCHASE HERE (affiliate links): Amazon UKWaterstonesBook Depository

I really enjoyed Out For Blood. The whole story is full of shocks and revelations, and is such an exciting read. (review here)

BOOK 2: When I Come Home Again by Caroline Scott

PURCHASE HERE (affiliate links): Amazon UKWaterstonesBook Depository

When I Come Home Again was one of my most anticipated reads of the year, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. This story is beautifully emotive, and had me close to tears on a few occasions. (review here)

BOOK 3: The Devil and the Dark Water by Stuart Turton

PURCHASE HERE (affiliate links): Amazon UKWaterstonesBook Depository

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of The Devil and the Dark Water through NetGalley, and although it is very different to The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, this was still a fantastic read. (review coming soon)

BOOKS DNF’ED:

BOOK 1: The Haunting of Alma Fielding by Kate Summerscale

PURCHASE HERE (affiliate links): Amazon UKWaterstonesBook Depository

This wasn’t what I was expecting at all. The story was more about whether Alma was a fraud or not, than a haunting. It was also way too slow paced for me.

BOOK 2: Vultures by Luke Tarzian

PURCHASE HERE (affiliate links): Amazon UKBook Depository

This wasn’t a bad book, but I just couldn’t get in to it, and I don’t know why. This is usually the sort of book I would enjoy, so maybe it was just wrong timing. I will probably revisit this at another time, and give it a second chance.

Which books did you read in September?
Which was your favourite of the month?
Have you read any of the books from my September wrap up?

Let me know in the comments!
