2025 Reading Goals and Challenges

Hey everyone!
For today’s post, I will be sharing my reading goals, and reading challenges for the year with you all.

GoodReads Reading Challenge:

For this year’s GoodReads Reading Challenge, I have set my goal to 40 books. Last year I set my goal at 30, but absolutely smashed it and read 45. However, I’ve still not set my goal any higher than 40 for this year because I will be focusing on my art, and completing my London Art College portraiture course.

#BeatTheBacklog

Every year I do #BeatTheBacklog and fail miserably, but I am going to make sure that this year is the year I finally manage it! In no way am I expecting to read ALL of the books in my backlog, because that would be physically impossible, but I will be making a big dent in the unread books on my shelves. I’m not going to take on many blog tours this year, as that seems to be one of the main things hindering my progress with my backlog. However, I can’t promise I won’t buy lots of new books too…

25 In 2025 Reading Challenge

I took part in the 23 In 2023, and the 24 In 2024 reading challenges over the last couple of years, so I will be doing the 25 In 2025 reading challenge this year. I have made sure to pick books that I already own to help with my #BeatTheBacklog goal, some of which have been unread on my shelves for a VERY long time. You can find my TBR for the challenge HERE!

Chapter 25 Reading Challenge

I will also be doing the Chapter 25 reading challenge this year. I became a member of the Chapter 25 book club towards the end of 2024 when they started one in my local area. Their reading challenge for the year consists of 12 prompts (one for each month), and again, I’ve tried to pick all books that I already own. You can find my TBR for the challenge HERE!

I am super excited for the goals and challenges I’ve set this year, and to see where it takes me. Maybe this will be the year that I actually manage to complete them all… Wish me luck!
